Saint Tropez, France – The Wally Class winner of the racing season is the boat with the Owner Driving having reached the best results of four events of the 2009 official calendar.
The Wally Class 2009 winner is Y3K, like in 2008: congratulations to the owner and the crew!
Two more owners were awarded: the owner of Dark Shadow who won the Performance Division that was scored for the first time in the Voiles de Saint Tropez 2009, and the owner of Genie who won one race of the Voiles de Saint Tropez bringing this “milestone” yacht back to victory.
Every winner was awarded with a Hublot Big Bang watch.
During the usual prize giving dinner hosted by Hublot and Wally in Saint Tropez, Mr. Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of Hublot Genève, unveiled to the Owners the new Mag Bang Wally, the limited edition chronograph watch carrying the Wally brand. The Mag Bang Wally is built in aluminium, magnesium and titanium resulting one of the lightest in its category, perfectly matching the Wally approach to yachting!
