Victories and podium in all the divisions.
Saint Tropez – The 24th edition of the celebrated regatta ended in glory for Wally, that supports the event since its inception in 1998 as a partner as well as with its remarkable fleet of yachts racing.
This year the event took place from 24 september to 8 October with the first week dedicated to classic yachts and to modern yachts under 18 meters, while the second to the Maxis.
In the first week, characterized by medium-strong winds, the wallynano37s Nostromino and Pilgrim competed in the IRC modern Trophee B. Optique division that counted 15 boats. Nostromino took line honors in all the races crossing the finish line always well ahead of the competitors!
During the Maxi week Wally displayed a fleet of eight yachts split into the relevant divisions: Spirit of Malouen X in the Maxi 1 class; Django Unchained, Galateia, Magic Carpet 3, Tango and Y3K in the Maxi2; Lyra and Ryokan 2 in the Maxi3.
Light airs dominated the whole week allowing for three races to be completed, with the Wallys always in the forefront with victories in real time as well as in corrected, prevailing over pure racers.
The final results see Spirit of Malouen X winner of Maxi 1, Magic Carpet 3 third in the Maxi2, and Lyra winner of Maxi2 and the IMA trophy as best boat of the Association.
Magic Carpet 3 was awarded also with the first Maxi Club55 Cup as winner of the match race against Tango on the lay day.
