Wally debuts the wallywhy150 in Thailand, showcasing yachting innovation in Asia.

 - Thailand première for the wallywhy150;
 - Layout tailored to Asian clients;
 - Three guest cabins.

Phuket, 7th July 2025 - the wallywhy150 made her Asia-Pacific première in Phuket, Thailand, reinforcing Wally’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge yachting excellence in Asia.
This model, the middle sister of Wally’s three revolutionary ‘spaceships’, continues to captivate with her futuristic silhouette and avant-garde design. With her dazzling silver hull and distinctive glass superstructure, the wallywhy150 brings a new vision of life at sea.

The yacht presented in Thailand features a refined and panoramic dining area, along with several new design elements never seen before. Recognized with multiple industry awards, the wallywhy150 continues to impress with her bold vision and innovation. With her expansive interior volumes, breakthrough layout and superb cruising capability, this yacht is perfectly suited for the Asian waters and lifestyles. The bespoke layout, designed for a local client, demonstrates Wally’s responsiveness to regional preferences and its ability to offer truly custom experiences.

A boat for Asian waters

Beyond her bold aesthetic, this version of the wallywhy150 introduces significant layout alternatives. At the forward end of the main deck, a 22-square-metre private dining suite replaces the Master cabin. By removing the bulkhead that previously separated the suite and the bathroom, Wally created space for a spectacular eight-person Lazy Susan table in ash carbon finish, perfectly framed by the panoramic bow windows.

This then frees up space in the main salon which would otherwise have been given over to dining. Instead, it can be entirely devoted to elegant, contemporary seating over two half levels, all facing aft towards the smoked glass doors. Arranged in three floor-to-ceiling panels, these can be slid away into the bulkhead for full connection with the exterior deck or closed to create a cosy air-conditioned cocoon. Elegant wooden cabinetry dividing the two levels also harbours a retractable flatscreen TV that transforms the space into a movie theatre.

Another change designed to appeal to the style and sensibilities of the Asia-Pacific market is the layout on the breathtaking upper deck. Instead of the standard Mediterranean-style sun loungers aft, this special version of the wallywhy150 features free-standing sofas and a coffee table. It gives clients the option of an indoor or outdoor seating area in which to share convivial moments among family or friends.

Surprise and innovation at every turn

This large upper deck is one of the unique selling points of the wallywhy150. Partially in the cooling shade of the iconic angular hard top, she offers hugely flexible social space with an astonishing view. Besides the Tribu sofas, there are chaise longues arranged in a U-shape, a wet bar and barbecue counter, and an eight-person table. You can also install a bimini to extend further aft and windbreak panels to the side. It’s a lounge, a bar, a place for a meal or a party venue – all framed by Wally’s stealth-like glass superstructure.

Wally’s world-renowned terrace on the sea concept, being part of the brand’s rich DNA, is another key element of the wallywhy design. It is a huge area of versatile real estate right at the water’s edge, allowing owners to spec their own choice of furniture according to their preferred way of living on board. Loungers, sofas, jet skis or an oversize tender are all possible. A large central section of the aft deck can be hydraulically lowered to provide effortless access to the water, or to act as a launchpad for water sports.

Elegant Italian interior
As master of any situation, any cruising programme, the wallywhy150 also offers extensive accommodation in three cabins. Two spacious VIP doubles are complemented by a twin – all ensuite with excellent storage volumes. There is also room for up to four crew.

Vallicelli Design Studio has penned the sophisticated interior styling that exploits a typical Wally contrast between rich, natural woods and neutral panelling. This boat features cabin walls in mink and Etoile Symphony marble bathrooms. The floors in the main salon are in natural American walnut.

For all the focus on the yacht’s effortless aesthetic appeal, she is also an engineering masterpiece, built in high-tech composites. The drivetrain is structured around a powerful Volvo Penta IPS1350 engine, capable of developing 1,000hp. This configuration reaches a top speed of 23 knots, with a cruising speed of 20 knots that offers a range of 370 nautical miles. At an economical pace of 10 knots, the range extends to approximately 1,000 nautical miles, making the boat ideal for long-distance cruising away from the harbour.
