Wally Class signs the Charta Smeralda

A commitment to protect the ocean

Milan, Italy  - The Wally Class, the association of owners racing in the Wally regattas, proudly endorses the Charta Smeralda, the ethical code of conduct to share and actuate principles that aim to safeguard the marine environment. The Wally Class is among the first sailing associations to have signed this essential document, during the official ceremony held today in Milano.

Charta Smeralda is a document created by One Ocean Foundation,  established in 2017 by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda,  to raise awareness among individuals, stakeholders and communities, of the urgency to resolve problems related to the marine ecosystem, with the aim of defining concrete and immediate solutions.

Since its inception, Wally is driven by a strong passion for the sea: the commitment to protect  our vital environment is the natural response to this emergency, requiring immediate simple actions depicted by the Charta Smeralda.

The innovative  Monegasque brand fully embraces One Ocean’s ethical code, and through its racing division becomes an effective ambassador of the Charta Smeralda, further raising the attention to the pressing necessity to save the ocean while encouraging more individuals and associations to join the global effort.
